Diploma in Reflexology

Course Description

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injury, and illness.

For the practising Holistic Therapist this course is an excellent additional skill to enhance existing practice.

This is a theory and practical based course and is ideal for anyone who wishes to enter the holistic profession. This course includes Anatomy and Physiology as an essential subject necessary for the full qualification.

If the student already is already qualified in a complementary therapy that includes Anatomy and Physiology they can do the Reflexology Module of this course.


On successful completion of this course the learner will receive an I.T.E.C. Diploma in Reflexology.

Course Content

  • The study of the  history of Reflexology and current theories and practice.
  • Philosophy of Complementary Medicine.  
  • Zones and their relation to organs and functions.  
  • Using and understanding reflexology charts.  
  • Contraindications and their implications.  
  • Instruction in compiling 10 case studies.
  • Practical Techniques such as compression techniques, holding and supporting.
  • Location of reflexes on the feet.  
  • Sequence of treatment.  
  • Observations and assessment of the feet.  
  • Relaxation techniques and Cross Reflexes.

The I.T.E.C. Examination is graded and validated by the International Therapy Examination Council

The examination is a one hour multiple choice theory paper (per course subject) and comprises of fifty questions on all aspects of the course.

Registration Fee/Deposit

A registration fee/Deposit is required to hold a place on the course. On commencement of course Registration fees are non refundable.  In the exception of a course not commencing all registration fees will be refunded.


Written and verbal fluency in English are a requirement for this course.

Uniforms are required for all practical classes. Uniform consists of white tunic and black trousers.

Class Times and Fees

Reflexology (including Anatomy & Physiology)   €1800

*Anatomy and Physiology  (Reflexology without Anatomy & Physiology  €1200) unit of this course will be held every Tuesday evening from 6.30-9.30pm.

Reflexology theory and practical class is run one weekend per month:
